The inert relics, some as big as a grapefruit, were detected when agents X-rayed checked bags.

The signs appeared last month on a stretch of Tennessee State Route 386 north of Nashville that was designated Vietnam Veterans Boulevard nearly four decades ago.

The elite flying team had announced a safety review after videos posted on social media showed a fighter jet passing just above beachgoers on Wednesday.

Captain Sullenberger, who is known as Sully, said that the disease was in its early stages, and that he was “in the beginning of this long journey.”
