The police said they were investigating the theft of about $155,000 worth of the famously creamy Irish stout from an industrial park in northwestern England.

Prosecutors said that the man, in his 60s, drugged and abused his wife while she was unconscious, alongside a dozen other men aged 28 to 73.

The brothers, who have denied all wrongdoing, are fighting extradition to Britain on multiple charges, including rape and sex trafficking.
