Bryce Vincent Gowryluk used Claude, Anthropic’s A.I. chatbot, to help him chart a course for the top of Crown Mountain, north of Vancouver, British Columbia. Things did not go as planned.

The accident occurred as hundreds of people were gathering nearby for a National Day of Truth and Reconciliation march near Delta, a city south of Vancouver, the authorities said.
