Nearly 1,000 people in the Ohio city were told to leave the area and thousands more were urged to stay inside. The mayor said the spill did not present a long-term threat.
The five victims in Richmond, Utah, included four minors whose ages ranged from 5 to 16, the police said. The causes of their deaths were not immediately clear.
