Critically Endangered Parrots Enjoy Baby Boom After Mating Frenzy
There are now 325 kakapos in New Zealand, the largest population of the giant, flightless parrot species in decades, conservationists said.
The efforts to save the kakapo from the brink of extinction began after their numbers dropped to just 51 birds in 1995.
