The American Israel Public Affairs Committee generally supports Democrats, but it has spent heavily against Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, a vocal critic of Israel. Its general election spending comes after initial concerns from the campaign of Mike Rogers, the Republican.
The liberal pro-Israel advocacy group’s ads denouncing incumbents in Iowa and Pennsylvania put it at odds with the larger organization for the first time.
