The case essentially goes back to the same status as before the trial began, and prosecutors have to decide whether to try again

A Massachusetts jury was unable to come to a unanimous decision in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, a mother accused of murdering her three children, and a mistrial has been declared by Judge William Sullivan.

The 12-person jury was made up of nine women and three men and, according to the notes given to the court, was split 11 to one.

A corporate vice-president at Bank of America was killed in a stabbing in New York City’s Times Square, the second-biggest US lending bank ⁠said on Tuesday about a ⁠random incident that took place ​in broad daylight in the bustling heart of Manhattan.

The army secretary, Dan Driscoll, has handed his resignation to Donald Trump, the White House said on Monday, becoming the latest high-profile figure to depart the defense department.

The army official, who is second in line to the defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, had reportedly been eyeing an exit from the Pentagon amid apparent friction with the secretary.
