When Kremlin energy talking points come with an Oxford address. Russian energy disinformation does not always look like propaganda. Sometimes it presents itself in the form of expert analysis, a policy advisor, or technical commentary inside Europe's energy debate, and that is exactly what makes this new form of influence worth examining. |

In Ukraine’s Vivaldi offensive, nobody rides in the BTR-60s. Bulgaria’s old troop carriers go into Russian bunkers packed with mines. Too thinly armored for infantry, 110 Bulgarian-donated BTR-60s now go into Russian bunkers near Lyman packed with anti-tank mines and nobody inside. |

Europe and Ukraine already have the force to stop Russia. What’s missing is the alliance.. The war may reach Europe by 2027; NATO won't be ready until 2035. The fastest deterrent already exists: a declared alliance with Ukraine's combat-proven force. |
Intelligence and technology
Russia is now wiring its attack drones into one network in flight, so a single drone can scout, strike, and relay for the rest. Chains of Russian drones keep crossing near the Belarus border, Ukraine's Air Force says.
Ukrainian combat simulator, used to train more than 500,000 troops, can now be ordered from NATO’s supply catalogs by single code. Each trainer assigned a 13-digit NATO Stock Number.
Russia adds new weapon to its jet-powered drones, even more dangerous: 40-kilogram charge made to sever high-voltage pylons and iron bridges. Russia opens a massed assault on the grid.
Ukraine’s new ground robot switches from land to water in seconds. It just ran its first supply mission, 40 kilometers to positions others can’t reach. A Ukrainian robot drives to the front, then swims.
Most drone interceptors ram or explode. This Ukrainian one just throws a net—six shots to a module. The Mangal launcher carries two cameras, picks out drones on its own, and mounts on a vehicle or a fixed post.
The EU sanctioned Russia’s Starlink rival but not the company that builds it. Experts call that the gap that matters. Ukraine can jam Russian drones into drifting off course—a satellite relay overhead would let them fly straight through the jamming and strike.
International
EU wants reforms before more money. Kyiv wants Europe to touch Russia’s frozen billions. The push comes as Ukraine seeks access to €210 billion in immobilized Russian central-bank assets to help cover its needs.
Humanitarian and social impact
Ukraine brings 14 more children home from Russian-occupied Kherson Oblast. One of them was being forced onto Russia’s military rolls. This year's returns from the occupied south now reach 204.
Russia struck a school in Sumy with a 250-kilogram bomb while children in grades 1–4 were studying there. The bomb hit as about 40 children sheltered inside, one of many Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages over the past 24 hours.
Kyiv’s supermarkets are the new front line as Russia hunts civilian life before winter. Officials say the Kremlin is blending drone strikes, sabotage, and bot-farm propaganda to break the capital before the cold arrives.
Russian troops seize drone-dropped food in occupied Oleshky, accusing recipients of cooperating with Ukraine. Some people go missing, a local official says. One family in Oleshky was taken "to the basement" and has since disappeared without a trace, an Oleshky official says.
