The former safety manager of a Michigan alternative health care center will spend at least 19 months in jail in connection with the January 2025 death.
Republicans had hoped that a Supreme Court decision allowing party committees to coordinate with candidates would also entitle them to lower ad rates. On Tuesday, an appeals court said otherwise.
Senator Jon Ossoff of Georgia was one of four Democratic candidates who prevailed in a lawsuit restricting ad prices for party committees. Republicans, whose committees are flush with cash, were seeking lower rates available only to candidates.
