Gloria Steinem “pushed open doors not just for herself, but for literally millions of women behind her,” Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state and presidential candidate, said in a tribute on Thursday.
She challenged sexist assumptions, helping women develop a sense of self-worth and gain a measure of equality at work, at home and in society at large.
