Dozens of people were injured and some were trapped in rubble at a coke plant in Clairton, Pa., near Pittsburgh, rescue workers said.

The authorities had been searching for Austin Drummond in connection with the killing of four people and the abandonment of a baby in a yard.

A man poured a flammable liquid on J. Lee Vogler, a councilman in Danville, Va., and set him on fire on Wednesday, the police said.

Six people were thrown into the water in the accident, including three other children and a camp counselor, the authorities said.
