NEW GLASGOW, P.E.I. (07/21/26) — Françoise Labelle (14) performs as a heron in the River Clyde Pageant. Her parents were collaborating artists during the pageant’s inaugural season in 2016, and her father, Sébastien Labelle, continues to work with the creative team, most recently as puppet ensemble co-lead. “What’s become more important to me, beyond the amazing creative work that I get to do with this community, is how my kids get to grow up with it,” says Labelle. “This amazing experience to work out in a natural environment, but really learning to think creatively and collaboratively in a way that we rarely have opportunities to do.
