The police found the girl, who was 15 when she disappeared in 2022 in Milwaukee, alive in Virginia in May. A man faces more than 60 charges, including abduction, in connection with the case.
The man had been traveling the Continental Divide Trail, which goes through five states and is described by a hiking group as one of the “most challenging landscapes in North America.”
