The problem of protecting campus speakers with polarizing opinions has confounded universities around the country in recent years.

According to Utah Valley University’s chief of police, Jeff Long, there were six police officers present during Charlie Kirk’s appearance on campus on Wednesday, in addition to Mr. Kirk’s personal security detail.
